Platelets are found in our own blood, and like stem cells, they contain hundreds of proteins known as growth factors which promote healthy clotting, cell growth and quick healing. They are especially powerful at tightening the skin of the face. PRP combines platelets with plasma, also extracted from blood, to create a liquid rich in these beneficial platelets.
